Corfu Port is right next to the Old Port and the Old Town of Corfu which is renowned for its neoclassical buildings, the venetian palace, its picturesque narrow streets, and the two fortresses.

The Port of Corfu managed by ORGANISMOS LIMENA KERKYRAS S.A. (OLK) is a typical island port installation, serving all categories of maritime traffic, i.e. ferry lines to the mainland connecting with Igoumenitsa, Ro – Ro ships to/from Italy, general cargo ships – primarily small vessels. Since Corfu is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, the port serves an large number of cruise calls each year, hosting some of the giant vessels operating in the cruise market in the region.

The port is located at the city front. Its old core was developed adjusted to the Old Town. Gradual expantions have taken place over time. The existing harbour consists of a corner shaped pier and parallel to the coast docks. The pier is a vertical faced (both seawords and leewards) structure which accommodates ferry boat traffic to/from Italy.

Anek Lines offers year-round ferry crossings to Trieste and Venice with journey times of 22 and 23 hours respectively. Crossings to Ancona are also offered.

Minoan Lines provides services from Corfu to Patras via Igoumenitsa. The total journey time varies according to the length of the leg between Corfu to Igoumenitsa.
SNAV Ferry Company provides crossings from Corfu to Brindisi with journey times of 5 hours, 30 minutes. There are three crossings a week, which operate all year round.
Blue Star Ferries operates a daily service between Corfu and Bari. The journey time is seven hours.

As Corfu is a popular holiday destination, ferry services to and from its port are also popular and holiday makers choosing not to fly for whatever reason can make use of the good selection of routes between the port and various countries. The companies listed above who are responsible for providing these services are reputable outfits and passengers can generally rely on crossings to depart and arrive as scheduled, although calling the respective company a day before you plan to sail to check times is advisable.
